What to compare

Borrower and asset exposure

Identify who borrows, what supports the claim, where the borrower operates, and how concentrated the exposure is.

Underwriting

Review eligibility, diligence, monitoring, reporting, covenants, collateral, defaults, restructurings, and the parties responsible for enforcement.

Legal structure

Trace the pool, issuer, trustee, manager, servicer, and jurisdiction. A smart contract cannot by itself enforce an offchain credit claim.

Seniority and loss

Understand who bears losses first, how impairment is recognized, whether recovery is possible, and what happens when a borrower misses payments.

Liquidity

Check withdrawal, redemption, transfer, lockup, and settlement conditions. Credit exposure can remain illiquid even when represented by a transferable token.
